Kick off the summer by learning how to keep diabetes under control, and keep it well-managed! Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics invites people with diabetes to attend “Living Well with Diabetes.” This three-day class in diabetes self-management will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 6 - 7, 6:00 - 9:00 PM and Friday, June 8 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Pershing Meeting Room at Mason General Hospital.
Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics has a team of Diabetes Wellness professionals who teach the class, covering everything about diabetes – from diagnosis, to medications, meal planning, exercise, prevention and treatment of complications, stress management, living well, and engaging support people and a health care team. Their expert guidance in managing diabetes aims to help patients and families enjoy normal, healthy living.
As space for the class is limited, registration is required in advance by calling Debbie McGinnis, R.N., certified diabetes educator, at (360) 426-1611, ext. 28941 (from Allyn (360) 275-8614, ext. 28941). Diabetes education is a covered service under most insurance plans.
