Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
The Shelton Kiwanis Club meets regularly on Tuesdays at Smoking Mo's Magnolia Room. Lunch begins at 11:30 AM with program from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. The programs cover a variety of topics from non-profits, governmental entities, and community members.
For the December 5, 2017 meeting the club will host its annual holiday luncheon at the United Methodist Church. The luncheon will include a home-cooked meal and a Christmas concert by the SHS Choirs.
The Kiwanis Club of Shelton has been serving it's community since 1924 following sponsorship by the Olympia Club. Since that time, members have been active in the community serving "Pancakes in the Park" for over 60 years, awarding numerous scholarships to colleges, trade schools and the Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp.
Shelton Kiwanians have been keeping things clean by participating in the Washington Adopt-A-Highway Program for more than 20 years. The Club takes part in the OysterFest seafood festival each year and is active with city parks and the recent establishment of Shelton's first community garden, Catalyst Park.
