Description
Bee-lieve it or not, Spell-E-Bration is almost here! It’s that time of year again. Sound Learning is gearing up for the 28th Spell-E-Bration – Community Spelling Bee and annual fundraiser. You can “Catch the Buzz” on Saturday, June 29, 2024. at the Mason County Senior Activity Center, 190 W. Sentry Dr., Shelton. The event will begin at 4:00p. This is a new location for their event, and they are excited to have this wonderful opportunity to stage all of the fun festivities in such a great venue. Teams will compete to win the coveted Top Spelling Champs Award. The competition is always fun for the participants, judges, and the audience. Teams create a theme for themselves and dress to impress in costumes. In addition to the “Bee” we will also have a Silent Auction and the popular “Balloon Pop for Prizes”.
There are several ways to participate in this exciting and fun-filled event:
- Make a tax-deductible cash donation.
- Donate an in-kind item valued at $50 or more for the silent auction.
- Donate something yummy for our dessert/appetizer bar.
- You can sponsor a team by donating the full registration fee ($500) or donate towards co-sponsoring a team. You can have your own team or support a team that needs a sponsor.
- Volunteer to help with planning, setting up, various duties during the event and of course, clean-up.
- Do one or more of the above.
All monetary/in-kind donations are tax-deductible. Sound Learning is a community based non-profit 501(c)3 organization (see their EIN below) that helps adults throughout the South Sound area improve reading, writing and math skills, prepare for their GED or High School Diploma, or learn English through our English Language Acquisition (ELA) program. They provide economic development services to adults in both Mason and Thurston counties. Spell-E-Bration is their major fundraiser of the year. Proceeds help to train and support the work of the dedicated staff and volunteers who provide tutoring and classroom assistance at locations throughout two counties. Last year, their volunteers and staff provided essential education through the development of on-line classes, virtual tutoring, and in-person assistance. Together, with supporters like you, we are helping to build a better community. Donors receive recognition in the event program, on the website at www.soundlearning.co, the Facebook page, and in the after event “thank you” newspaper ad. Major donors will also have their name and logo prominently displayed at the event. For additional sponsorship opportunities and benefits, please see their website’s Spell-e-Bration information page at www.soundlearning.co or the enclosed benefit levels. Thank you for your consideration and support. We hope you will join in the festivities at the 28th Annual Spell-E-Bration! If you have already sent in a donation or sponsorship for 2024, thank you from Sound Learning. Please consider passing this information along to someone you know who would be interested.
