Habitat for Humanity Homeowner Orientation Meeting

Habitat for Humanity of Mason County is pleased to announce that the Homeowner Selection process is now open. All individuals and families interested in applying for homeownership through Habitat must attend the Homeowner Orientation Meeting. Please note that applications will only be distributed at this Orientation Meeting. Attendance is required in order to receive an application and begin the selection process.

To qualify for Habitat homeownership, applicants must meet the following three basic requirements:

1. Demonstrated Need for Housing – Current living conditions must be substandard, overcrowded, unsafe, or otherwise inadequate.
2. Ability to Pay – Applicants must have a stable income and be able to make affordable mortgage payments.
3. Willingness to Partner – Selected homeowners contribute “sweat equity” by helping to build their own home and volunteering with Habitat.
