Hood Canal Salmon Run 5k

Participants are invited to run or walk the scenic estuary trails while supporting the next generation of Hood Canal stewards at the second annual Hood Canal Salmon Run 5K. This fundraiser benefits the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group's mission to connect people, land, and salmon through restoration, education, and research.

The 5K course features a flat, unpaved trail that winds around the picturesque Union River Estuary. Suitable for all skill levels, the event welcomes both seasoned runners and those simply looking to enjoy the stunning views and fresh air.

Proceeds from this year's 5K will directly support the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group’s educational programs, including the Farm Stewards and Explore the Fjord summer camps, which depend on community donations. These camps provide affordable, hands-on summer learning experiences that help local youth build meaningful connections with the Hood Canal.

The event will take place rain or shine and is hosted by the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group (HCSEG, The Salmon Center) in partnership with its sponsors.
