Ribbon Cutting for Bayshore Preserve - Grand Reopening!

The Chamber will celebrate the grand reopening of Bayshore Preserve with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 13 at 12:00p. Community members are invited to join the celebration, learn more about the recent improvements, and take a walk along the refreshed trails.
 

Managed by Capitol Land Trust, Bayshore Preserve has recently undergone upgrades to enhance accessibility and visitor experience. The project includes a resurfaced parking area with expanded bus and van access, a new welcoming plaza, improved trails for strollers and mobility aids, and a purpose-built outdoor classroom near the Johns Creek bridge. Conserved in 2014, the 78-acre preserve protects vital estuary, forest, and shoreline habitats along Oakland Bay, providing a thriving environment for salmon, shellfish, seals, and many bird species.
