Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The programs cover a variety of topics from non-profits, governmental entities, and community members. The first 30 minutes will be Board and Foundation business followed by 30 minutes of Club activity. To keep members informed of club business, all members are invited to join in for the entire hour.
The Kiwanis Club of Shelton has been serving it's community since 1924 following sponsorship by the Olympia Club. Since that time, members have been active in the community serving "Pancakes in the Park" for over 60 years, awarding numerous scholarships to colleges, trade schools and the Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp.
Shelton Kiwanians have been keeping things clean by participating in the Washington Adopt-A-Highway Program for more than 20 years. The Club takes part in the OysterFest seafood festival each year and is active with city parks and the recent establishment of Shelton's first community garden, Catalyst Park.
