Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
The Shelton Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday at Smoking Mo's Magnolia Room. Lunch begins at 11:30 AM with program from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. The programs cover a variety of topics from non-profits, governmental entities, and community members.
The Kiwanis Club of Shelton has been serving it's community since 1924 following sponsorship by the Olympia Club. Since that time, members have been active in the community serving "Pancakes in the Park" for over 60 years, awarding numerous scholarships to colleges, trade schools and the Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp.
Shelton Kiwanians have been keeping things clean by participating in the Washington Adopt-A-Highway Program for more than 20 years. The Club takes part in the OysterFest seafood festival each year and is active with city parks and the recent establishment of Shelton's first community garden, Catalyst Park. |

Do you have the skills to save a life in case of emergencies? Come join Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics’ First Aid/CPR/AED course in October. Mason General Hospital & Family Clinics staff will present this course on Thursday, October 12 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at the Hospital’s Learning Center, next to the Shelton McDonald’s on Olympic Highway North.
The course combines First Aid, CPR and AED training, and a course achievement eCard can be obtained upon completion. A non-refundable registration fee of $35 (exact cash or check) is required to cover the cost of books and materials, and must be paid in advance. Open to the entire community, this class will be limited to 16 persons. A Spanish interpreter can be made available on request, and comfortable clothing is suggested for all participants. Advance registration is required by no later than Saturday, October 7, by calling the Learning Center at (360) 427-3609. These First Aid/CPR/AED classes take place on the second Thursday of every month from September to June.

| WSU Master Gardener volunteers provide educational programs, free advice and answers to questions on home gardening and landscape maintenance, pest management, and composting to Mason County residents. Volunteers help at plant clinics, classes, our Catalyst Food Bank and Community Demonstration Garden, garden tours, and our annual plant sale. To become a certified Master Gardener, participants complete the online and face-to-face training programs and fulfill 60 hours of approved volunteer hours within a year of completing the coursework. After certification, ongoing volunteer hours are required to maintain status as a Master Gardener. Being a Master Gardener is an opportunity to improve your own knowledge and support the community! |

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
The Shelton Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday at Smoking Mo's Magnolia Room. Lunch begins at 11:30 AM with program from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. The programs cover a variety of topics from non-profits, governmental entities, and community members.
The Kiwanis Club of Shelton has been serving it's community since 1924 following sponsorship by the Olympia Club. Since that time, members have been active in the community serving "Pancakes in the Park" for over 60 years, awarding numerous scholarships to colleges, trade schools and the Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp.
Shelton Kiwanians have been keeping things clean by participating in the Washington Adopt-A-Highway Program for more than 20 years. The Club takes part in the OysterFest seafood festival each year and is active with city parks and the recent establishment of Shelton's first community garden, Catalyst Park. |

Volunteers help at plant clinics, classes, our Catalyst Food Bank and Community Demonstration Garden, garden tours, and our annual plant sale. To become a certified Master Gardener, participants complete the online and face-to-face training programs and fulfill 60 hours of approved volunteer hours within a year of completing the coursework. After certification, ongoing volunteer hours are required to maintain status as a Master Gardener. Being a Master Gardener is an opportunity to improve your own knowledge and support the community! |

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
The Shelton Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday at Smoking Mo's Magnolia Room. Lunch begins at 11:30 AM with program from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. The programs cover a variety of topics from non-profits, governmental entities, and community members.
The Kiwanis Club of Shelton has been serving it's community since 1924 following sponsorship by the Olympia Club. Since that time, members have been active in the community serving "Pancakes in the Park" for over 60 years, awarding numerous scholarships to colleges, trade schools and the Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp.
Shelton Kiwanians have been keeping things clean by participating in the Washington Adopt-A-Highway Program for more than 20 years. The Club takes part in the OysterFest seafood festival each year and is active with city parks and the recent establishment of Shelton's first community garden, Catalyst Park. |

Union Pumpkin Festival is an October long harvest festival and fall celebration that takes place in the heart of autumn culminating on Halloween weekend.
At Hunter Farms in Union you can find out just how far a pumpkin can fly! Wood crafted pumpkin catapults and trebuchets compete in an annual competition of builder skill, accuracy, and showmanship. The catapult contest typically takes place on the last Saturday in October (SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28, 12:00 - 3:00 PM) at Hunter Farms out in the pumpkin patch, rain or shine. Watch ‘em hurl! |

| Oct 31 Shelton Kiwanis Club Meeting |
Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
The Shelton Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday at Smoking Mo's Magnolia Room. Lunch begins at 11:30 AM with program from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. The programs cover a variety of topics from non-profits, governmental entities, and community members.
The Kiwanis Club of Shelton has been serving it's community since 1924 following sponsorship by the Olympia Club. Since that time, members have been active in the community serving "Pancakes in the Park" for over 60 years, awarding numerous scholarships to colleges, trade schools and the Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp.
Shelton Kiwanians have been keeping things clean by participating in the Washington Adopt-A-Highway Program for more than 20 years. The Club takes part in the OysterFest seafood festival each year and is active with city parks and the recent establishment of Shelton's first community garden, Catalyst Park. |
