The Shelton branch of Olympic College is situated on a 27-acre campus and operates as a two-year public community college offering open enrollment for its educational programs. Over 125 professional and technical education certificate or degree pathways are available, including a 2-year direct transfer associate degree.
Classes are designed to reflect the needs of area residents and include college credit, dual credit, and community education classes. The Shelton campus class schedule is heavily focused upon skilled trades, career development, high school completion, and college prerequisites. The Running Start program is also popular and allows high school juniors and seniors to earn free college credits while earning their diploma.
Campus resources include academic advising, financial aid, registration, student support services, tutoring, and workforce development programs. Three primary buildings form the perimeter of our park-like campus - The Johnson Library, Palmer Student Center, and Bremer Welding Center - and are utilized for classroom instruction, student services, and staff offices. Three modular buildings provide space for a dedicated student computer lab, a testing lab, and additional classrooms.
